Better Than a Backstage Pass

Author: The Handyman

Although there’s been some clamoring for the next full-length episode (which we can tell you now, is slated for release in August), The Handyman’s been busy bobbing about in the swift waters of social media.  Next time, he’ll wear waders over his trusty overalls … or, maybe a scuba suit (if you’re a Photoshopper, we challenge you to do your level best to create that frightening image).  If you haven’t yet stalked big Handy, we provide ample avenues for you to do so, right now.

For all of you already using The Twitter, you can follow at Handytweets for the big guy’s latest thoughts, antics and aspirations.  If you’re one of the hundreds of millions of cyber-squatters who spend hours on Facebook, we’ve got your handy-fix covered there, too.  Become a Handy fan, and you’ll enjoy unique content whenever you log into your account.  If you’re at all curious about the destinations of The Handyman’s web-surfing, head on over to his account on Stumble Upon (nothing there is NSFW, as far as we know, so it’s a great way to kill some company time (but don’t tell your boss)).  And, lastly, our time in The Shop has been preserved in pictures on Flickr and PhotoBucket.  Be sure to check out the photo descriptions if you’re in the mood for a chuckle or ten.

There you have it … multiple ways to hound and tail our shop scholar, interact with him in real time, and participate in The Handyman for the Common Man community.

The Haps at Handy Headquarters

Author: The Handyman

We’ve had an industrious couple of months since we kicked off our internet adventure back in March.  I wanted to take a break from our frenetic schedule to review some of the recent highlights that I think you’ll particularly enjoy.

If you haven’t had the opportunity yet, take a few minutes and watch our latest full-length project, The Jib Boom of Doom.  If you’re an amateur videographer slightly obsessed with getting some sweet shots at your kid’s first play, or a teenage film prodigy nourishing your budding talent, you’ll totally dig this afternoon project that you can construct for only $50 bucks.  Like all of our projects, we provide free, downloadable plans to guide you through the construction process.

If you’re plagued by life’s questions, The Handyman’s got answers.  So many, in fact, that we had to create a whole new web page just to keep track of all of them.  For The Handyman’s collected replies, retorts and ripostes, be sure to check out Factotum Associated Queries.  And if you’ve got an inquiry, or think you can stump our star, use our online question form – it’s anonymous, so it’s okay, Mr. Vila … you feel free to ask away with impunity, and immunity.

We’ve not only added new Handynglish entries (some of which have been published on the Internet’s most popular alternative lexicon, the Urban Dictionary), we’ve alphabetized the whole kit and caboodle, too!

So, there you have it.  A veritable plethora of virtual entertainment.  And yet, are we satisfied?  Heck no.  We’re just getting warmed up.  In the few weeks, we’ll be posting another episode and a handful of Shop-Hacks, as well as continuing to update all of the sections and sites mentioned above.  Sign up for our RSS feed to stay abreast of The Handyman’s antics, in real time.

Thanks for stopping by,
